Bio-Techne is a US life science company headquartered in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It develops, manufactures and sells reagents, instruments and services – for biological research, for clinical diagnostics and for the bioprocessing used to make biological agents.

The company was founded in 1976 as Research and Diagnostic Systems, or R&D Systems, initially with control and calibration material for haematology. It went public in 1985 through the Techne Corporation; under the name Bio-Techne it is listed on the Nasdaq today.
