Vattenfall is a Swedish energy group headquartered in Solna. The parent company Vattenfall AB is wholly owned by the Swedish state; by its own account the company has been operating for more than a hundred years.
Its main markets are Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark and the United Kingdom. Vattenfall generates and sells electricity and gas, operates heating and distribution networks and expands wind and solar power; charging infrastructure for electric vehicles is added to that. The German business is run from Berlin.
